recovery work without risking loss of data is hard. none of the programs reviewed here will guarantee to recover every file, but disk drill has worked for me in the past on just about every pc imaginable. for more information on disk drill, please see the product review on the imation website.
however, as long as you gave that island excursion a bit of forethought and didnt flee in a hurry, you can take your license offline using a special checkbox in the license page in avid link titled take offline. this will take a few moments and put a persistent license on your computer. for subscription users, this will remain active until your subscription renews. for a perpetual licensee, this license will never expire (although if your support + upgrade plan expires, you will no longer receive sibelius updates).
